Week 9 of the RMC sponsored sevens and as the League hits the half way mark the headlines are: It's tight at the top as Pentlands lose out to Workshops First of all a big thank you to six volunteers from Ashes FC who picked up new nets from the council and put them up before tonight's matches, ably assisted by 10 year old Lauren Nicol First up this evening were Co-op and Ashes. In a tight first half both defences were giving away little.[Football]

Town & County Open Rinks Competition
The final between Dunbeath and Watten was a classic nail biting finish with score drawn at 6 - 6 after nine ends. The 10th and final end kept the onlookers on the edge of their seats until the last bowl when Watten came out with the final point to win the competition 7- 6.24/10/2001
Caithness Amateur Athletic Club History
In 1957 some of the Territorial Army members in Wick decided to form a running group. These members, Sandy Gunn, Tommy Dunnett and Ian McDonagh to name a few got together and ran in road races all over the north of Scotland.[Cars]

Aberdeen Motor Club held a 54 mile, 10 stage Scottish tarmac championship rally at RAF Edzell on Sunday 21st October. Two Caithness Car Club crews travelled down the 250 miles to compete..7/10/2001
Junior Triathlon Results
Wick Triathlon Club's UKAEA Junior Triathlon went ahead yesterday in good weather conditions compared with the previous weekends weather which meant the event had to be postponed. Although the weather was good the High school park remained very wet causing the organisers to look for a change of venue.[Rugby]

Wick Triathlon 2000
39 entrants made it to the start in the annual Wick Triathlon. With a mix of novices and serious contenders the race took place in very pleasant conditions of sunshine and occasional cloud.6/11/1980
