New Gym Equipment for Wick Swimming Pool

1st August 2014

High Life Highland has invested in the upgrade of the equipment in the fitness suite at Wick Swimming Pool. Seven new pieces of resistance equipment will be supplied by Commonwealth Games supplier Technogym from their "Element +" range, along with twelve pieces of cardiovascular equipment which have individual television, radio and I Pod connectivity built in.

The new equipment is accredited by the Inclusive Fitness Initiative which means that it is approved to be used by individuals with a disability, including those that are wheelchair bound, as well as able bodied customers.

To accommodate this investment, the fitness room will be closed for a short time from Monday 4 to Wednesday 6 August while the new equipment is installed. The newly upgraded suite will be open to the public on Thursday 7 August.

Ian Murray, High Life Highland Chief Executive, said "We are committed to providing the best facilities and service for our customers and this investment will allow users of the fitness suite access to a new and improved range of equipment. This style of equipment provides something for everyone and we hope it will encourage more people to come and try it out!"
