Caithness Rugby Appoints Full-time Development Officer

Caithness Rugby club keeps moving on from strength to strength. Over the past few years the club has seen more and more success on the field and in addition has developed its ground and pavilion.

Now the club has attracted funding to help them develop the sport in Caithness by appointing a full time development officer. There will be increased opportunities for young people to get involved. Caithness Rugby club is launching a new section called Caithness Junior Rugby Football Club

The new development officer is Neil Livett. Neil said,"I am the new Club Development Officer and position is full time (a first for the club). We will be developing the opportunities for young people in Caithness to experience and develop their rugby skills and inter personal relationship skills while offering high level coaching. The club will also offer development opportunities for all administrative and coaching volunteers."

Neil added,"This Autumn will see the commencement of organised league rugby within the High School system as well as club representation at U15, U16 and U18. Caithness Junior RFC also has an active Mini's section operating from Wick and Thurso"
