Thurso FC Sports Dinner � Weigh Inn Motel � 13th May

Due to Wick Academy being rescheduled to play their last match of the season away to Fort William on the day of the Thurso FC Sports Dinner the Academy can no longer take their 10 places at the event. Anyone interested in buying a place or places may contact Thurso FC or Wick Academy for information.

However, despite the above arrangements are now more or less complete for the Sports Dinner on the 13th with about 160 expected to attend. The event is timed as a 7.00pm for 7.30pm start. Since there is a lot to do on the evening a prompt start is essential and those attending are asked to be in their seats by 7.30pm when speakers and top table will be piped to their seats.

Provisionally booked speaker Alan Kennedy is involved in corporate hosting at the FA cup final and cannot attend. However, we have in his place a quality speaker for the Sports Dinner. Jim Leishman, who is one of the leading after dinner speakers in the country, has agreed to step in.

With three quality speakers -Dave Edwards, Jim Leishman and Patrick White � I am confident we will have a superb evening. In addition there is a good selection of items for the auction and raffle. A provisional list of items is printed below and full details, including sponsors, will be given in the Sports Dinner programme. Being Scottish Cup Final day it is appropriate that we have amongst the items a football shirt signed by Hearts players and a signed Gretna football.
