Bettyhill to Kirtomy. A walk along a spectacular part of the North Sutherland coastline taking in Farr Bay and Farr Point. Cars to be left at both ends.

19-July-09
Foinaven. A fine hill in North West Sutherland. Just under the magical Munro status of 3000ft. This is a 7.30am start. Please notify me if you intend going on this trip so that I can arrange transport.

09-Aug-09
Sandwood Bay. On the far North West coast of Sutherland. A minibus has been arranged. Cost approximately £8.00 return. This is a 7.30am start. Please let me know by 04.08.09 if you would like to go.

Ben Klibreck. 5 miles south east of Altnaharra. Rises 3156ft above the Sutherland moors. This is a 7.30am start. Please notify me if you intend going on this trip so that I can arrange transport.

Slioch. A Munro 3218ft high on the shore of Loch Maree. This is a walk of 19.2km. This is a 7.00am start. Please notify me if you intend going on this trip so that I can arrange transport.

A walk up Dunbeath Strath

Armadale to Strathy Point. Starting at Armadale Bay – a walk along a spectacular coastline to Strathy point with its lighthouse. Transport will be left at both ends.

Berriedale Water. A walk up Berriedale Strath and water to view the salmon spawning.

06-Dec-09
Dornoch to Embo. A short winter’s walk to finish off the year. Cars will be left at both ends.

10-Jan-10
Camster to Blingery. Starting on the Camster road – a walk mainly through forest finishing on the Tannach Road. Transport will be left at both ends.

07-Feb-10
Thurso East to Castletown. A walk along a piece of coastline that gives good views of Orkney and Dunnet Head. Transport to be left at both ends.

Crosskirk to Holborn Head. A chapel and a graveyard at Crosskirk. A walk along the coast with the land rising gradually to the dramatic cliffs of Holborn Head. Transport to be left at both ends.

04-Apr-10
Rumster. A walk round the tracks of Rumster Forest with its Brochs and abandoned homesteads.

02-May-10
Brora to Golspie. A walk along an unseen part of the Sutherland Coast. Transport to be left at both ends.

06-June-10
Ben Griam Beg. A small hill 588 metres high – approximately 4 miles south west of Forsinard.

As usual we meet in Somerfield Car Park, Wick at 9.00am unless stated otherwise. If this is not suitable for you phone me on 01955 604773. Please take a packed lunch and wear suitable clothing and footwear.

17-June-07 John O’Groats to Castle Geo The Walk commences at John O’Groats harbour following thecoastline round to Buchollie Castle.13 kms approximately 15-July-07 Sandside to Melvich Start at Sandside Bay and walk westward for 12 kms approximately along a beautiful stretch of coastline to Melvich.   The bird life is abundant and the wild flowers will be in full bloom.
