We are the Junior section of the Caithness Rugby Club. We provide qualified coaching and competition for P1 to S6 students at our two training sites in Wick and Thurso within the Scottish Rugby Union structure. We welcome all abilities within our playing, coaching and administration structure.
Our Philosophy on developing children within our coaching system is.....

Players learn best in a supportive environment, when presented with effective questioning that allows them to consider things differently and personalise their knowing and understanding. They learn best by being challenged in high intensity/ high focus game situations, where they are set specific goals from which they can regularly assess their abilities. As no situation in rugby is ever the same (due to the very nature of the game), therefore, constant practise of rugby specific situations in a game environment provide children with the classroom they require to become highly effective RUGBY players.
The use of games is interactive for all involved and provides a fun and challenging avenue of constantly changing situations for decision making and problem solving development.
Our aim is to develop children and youth with the above coaching philosophy and at the younger age range provide a train and play attitude to maximise the opportunity for ALL who train to play in competitive festivals/games.
