Wick High Makes It To Semi Finals Of Under 15s Scottish Shield

Wick High beat Braeview Dundee in the under 15s Quarter finals of the Bank of Scotland Scottish shield football competition in a home game on Friday 24 March 2006. Wick High have had to travel long distances to other games and put in a magnificent game on their home turf. Braeview had to do the travelling from Dundee this time.

By half time Wick was in the lead 4 - 0 having stopped a couple of chances by the Dundee lads. The second half was dominated by Wick with good runs, excellent passing and taking each goal as if they were just starting out. They even managed to score from a penalty. Braeview had to play much of the second half with only 10 men after their goalkeeper was red carded off for constantly shouting at the referee and others despite warnings in the first half.

Wick now go through to the semi-finals and on todays showing look as if they are determined that it willnot be their last game as the final beckons. Well done Wick.
