Murkle Indoor Bowling 5th Open Competition

Murkle Indoor Bowling Club held their 5th Open Competition on Saturday 21st January in the British Legion, Thurso. A total of 36 teams from all over the North took part and a very high standard of bowls was on view all day.

The final was contested by two teams from the Legion who had played great bowls all day. The eventual winners were the Legion 1 team of Ian Pickthall, Ian Pollock, Callum Elder and skip, Kenny MacLeod, with the runners-up being the Legion 2 team of Jessie Elder, Pat right, Jim Fairfield and skip, Sandy Wright.

Murkle Bowling club are extremely grateful to the British Legion for the use of their facilities for the day as this very successful competition would not be possible without their support.
