A zest for life is what the British Lung Foundation (BLF) is calling for in 2006! Dynamic, adventurous types ready to take on a BLF challenge are encouraged to apply for a place on the Icecap Trek, (Iceland) between 26 Aug - 3 Sept 2006.
Iceland is a land of volcanic landscapes, mountains, glaciers, hot springs, geysers and waterfalls. It's unique vast landscape is breath-takingly beautiful. This challenge starts in Reykjavik, taking you from the active Mount Hekla to Landmannalaugar and then south through the mountains to the permanent icecaps of Myrdals and Eyjafjalla. Trekkers will experience the wintery landscape where the feeling of space is awesome, before ending the trek back at Reykjavik.
Anyone who thinks they're up to the icy challenge can reserve a place for �299 and must then raise a minimum of �2500 - in return you'll have a truly once in a life time experience to start your 2006!
