High Life Highland Swimming Provision Bounces Back
15th September 2020
High Life Highland is continuing its bounceback campaign with additional swimming provision planned during September and October.
Graeme Ross, Principal Facilities Manager said, "In getting our locations reopen, our priority was, and continues to be to make our premises safe and welcoming for customers and staff. Judging on the feedback we have received from customers, it would seem that our efforts have been successful during our initial phase.
High Life Highland has reopened most leisure centre and swimming pool sites and is currently offering customers gym, lane swimming, classes and courts all of which are available to book online.
Mr Ross continued, "We are putting the final plans into place that will allow us to reintroduce family splash sessions for 8 - 11-year olds towards the end of September and which we hope will be followed by the restart of swimming lessons the following month."
High Life Highland has 26 leisure sites across the region providing services to those communities.
Mr Ross concluded, "We know from discussions with our customers that they are keen to see swimming lessons and family swims reinstated and I would like to reassure customers that my colleagues are I are working extremely hard to make sure that we can deliver on those expectations as soon as possible."
Further information about the reintroduction of family splash sessions and swimming lessons will be posted on the Charity's website and social media channels.
Steve Walsh, Chief Executive commented, "I would once again take the opportunity to thank our many customers for their ongoing patience and understanding while we put the necessary measures, associated with the Scottish Government's guidelines, in place that will ensure we are all doing our bit to mitigate the further spread of the virus. I look forward to seeing more families back in our locations very soon."
