Penalty forces Academy to dig deep

Wick's penalty bogey struck again, in the fifteenth minute and gave the visitors a welcome lead, United's acquisition Cammy Keith making no mistake from the spot.
But any suggestion that the visitors were set for an easy ride was soon dispelled as Academy dug in. Any team that keep talented Brora to a 1-0 scoreline - with another of those penalties - was not going to roll over.
Wick had to earn their share of the spoils the hard way as they as they were under severe pressure for recurring spells of the game. Davie Allan latched on to a Macadie free kick in the 68th minute and found the back of the net from close in, despite a valiant effort by the Formartine keeper.
The equaliser gave Academy new lease of life but failed to produce the vital winner leaving them again wondering what might have been but for that penalty.
