Urgent Help Required for RelayGB in Caithness
12th May 2012
A group trying to set a Guiness World Record and raise money for a brain tumour trust are heading your way tonight, but they need some help.
Trying to contact the local athletics club/TA or any group of reasonably fit people who might venture out in the storm. The situation is this:
RelayGB are desperate for runners on their world record consecutive relay marathon attempt. If you know anyone who can take on a running section of 5-6 miles to Ultra distance on the 13th/14th h MAY (esp Tonight/early Monday), or better, enter a team, PLEASE pass on John Stanford's contact details - john[AT]relaygb.org / steve[AT]relaygb.org
07734681882
The team are knackered after today's weather and are currently east of Tongue and on the way to Thurso (Time 18.30, Sunday evening). There is no commitment now to raise funds, only to keep the relay moving in horrendous weather.
See route and timings at the link below

Anyone can be part of this record breaking attempt - runners or other sporsmen/women. Even a couple of miles will help. There is no commitment now to raise funds, only to keep the relay moving in horrendous weather.
