Club Background
Tora-Kai is a Scotland-wide network of Shotokan Karate clubs, which was established over 35 years ago. The Wick club has been in existence since 1984. It offers its students the benefits of being part of a large organisation whilst encouraging the friendly atmosphere, diversity and individuality that can only be found in a locally run club.
Club Grading examinations are held every 6 months and are conducted by Sensei K. Taylor (6th Dan).

Tora-Kai is affiliated with the Scottish Traditional Karate Federation (STKF). Its licensing body is the Scottish Karate Board (SKB), which is recognised by the Scottish Sports Council. Through its association to the STKF, the club has the support of a hierarchy of organisations from national through to world level: the United Kingdom Traditional Karate Federation (UKTKF), the International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF) and the Japan Karate Association (JKA).

All classes are run by qualified instructors ratified by the Scottish Karate Board (SKB)
