Caithness Present Club Player Of The Year To Steven Davis
18th October 2009
Caithness Loyal Rangers Supporters Club were given the opportunity prior to the Rangers versus Aberdeen game at the end of September to present the Club Player of the Year trophy to Steven Davis.
Steven came out top in a vote or registered Club members and was delighted to receive the Glass trophy which had been engraved with the Caithness Loyal Club badge by Willie Bain of Wick Engraving.
Jim Hannah, Rangers Supporters Liaision Manager, arranged for four club members to meet up with Steven in the Main Stand at Ibrox prior to the Game. The four members were drawn at random to present the trophy were Lewis Bain, Geordie Bain, John Davidson along with Club Chairman Philip Sinclair. Steven showed a keen interest in the club and how far it had travelled before kindly autographing a shirt.
The club makes the 650 mile round trip to Ibrox roughly once a month and any Rangers fan is welcome to travel with the club which has membership from all over Caithness.
In the picture Lewis Bain from Castletown is shown handing over the trophy to Steven Davis.
