McBeath's Jeweller's County Snooker Doubles

The McBeath's Jeweller's County Snooker Doubles got under way a week Saturday past, James and Victor Risbridger looking to regain the title they won last March in the Viewfirth.
This year's championship was played in the Royal British Legion with 7 pairings to battle it out. In the first round James and Victor overcame County Singles Champion Derek Johnston and Mark Mackay in a 3 hour battle with the Risbridger brothers prevailing 3 - 1.
In the other matches Alan Mackenzie and Andy McGregor beat Bob Bremner and Adrian Forbes in a classic duel 3 - 2. Adrian's older brother James and Michael King played in a lengthy match against Ray Cormack and John Young beating them 3 - 2. In the semi-final's Alan Mackenzie and Andy McGregor beat James Forbes and Michael King 3 - 2 setting them for the final. James and Victor whitewashed Michael Douzik and John Kieran 3 - 0 taking them into a mouth-watering final.
In the final James and Victor Risbridger were just to strong for Alan and Andy beating them convincingly 3 - 0 crowning them McBeath's Jeweller's County Snooker Doubles Champions.
