Rothes and Buckie Thistle met at MacKessack Park and within 10seconds of kick-off Rothes could have taken the lead. Rab Mulheron was forced into an early substution with Captain Michael Dunn having to leave the field with an injury carried forward from the previous game.
Rothes played some good passing football and again nearly too the lead with a powerful header from Paul Winton producing a top-class save from goal-keeper Darren Strong.
Buckie Thistle took the lead on 41minutes with a well-worked passing move with Andrzej Kleczkowski lashing the ball into the back of the net. Into the second half and Ricky Horne matched the 1st half save of Darren Strong to push over a stinging shot. Rothes equalised through Joao Rodrigues before Donnie Munro and substitue Andy Low secured the three points for Gary Hake's men.
