No change at the top of the Cutting Edge Barbers Snooker League at the half way point. The standard of play is improving with some close games over the last couple of weeks. Ray Cormack was pipped in the deciding frame against Ian Macphee, who keeps the leaders within sight, however Derek Johnston is maintaining his run of good form by beating Ian 2--1, to keep Mark Mackay company at the top of the table.

Alan Mackenzie is keeping the pressure on the leaders, with some steady play over the last couple of weeks.

The Macbeaths the Jewellers knockout competition has been moved to a later date. Date to follow.

The County Doubles will be held in the Viewfirth on the 4th of March, this is an open competition and all are welcome.

No change in the Cutting Edge Snooker League this week as Mark Mackay and Derek Johnston continue to dominate the top of the table, solid results by both see them extend their positions, the two main chasers of Ian Macphee and Alan Mackenzie don't seem to have the fire power to challenge the leaders yet, and it might come down to slip ups by the top two to let any of the chasers in with a shout.   Macbeath's the Jewellers Knockout is still not decided, however the Open County Singles Championships will be held on the 1st of April, in Thurso, Viewfirth.

The half way stage is approaching, and the two form players of Mark Mackay and Derek Johnston, have set the pace.  The standard of snooker at the start of the league was very patchy buy all the players, but this was expected due to the lack of competition throughout the County over the last couple of seasons.
